Early Intervention

Welcome to our Special School’s Special Education Program!

Early intervention is the term used to describe the services and supports that are available to babies and young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. May include speech therapy, physical therapy, and other types of services based on the needs of child and family. Can have a significant impact on a child’s ability to learn new skill and overcome challenges and can increase success in school and life.

Programs are available in every state and territory. These publicly funded programs provide services at reduced cost for any child who is eligible.

Eligibility for early intervention services is based on an education of your child’ skill and abilities.

If you your child doctor, or territory’s early intervention program to find out if your child can reach out yourself.

Protective factors are the characteristics or condition of individuals, families, communities and society that can mitigate these the health and wellbeing of children and families. In many cases, risk and protective factors are example, poor parental mental health may pose outcome, such as behavioural problems or poor academic attainment

Involves children’s physical health , maturation and the presence or absence of a physical disability, and it provides the basis for positive development in all children self-esteem of children’s to manage negative feeling. Social and emotional development is strongly associated with a child’s ability

Early intervention also targets three key additional threats to a child maltreatment substance misuse and sexual behaviour.
